An Petroleum company is accepting applications for the position of Field Drilling Engineer rotating to Luanda, Angola.
Located on the Atlantic Coast of southern Africa, Malongo is a remote company camp in the Cabinda enclave. Multi-cultural workforce of many ethnicities. Business environment is in English, but Portuguese is the national language. Medical facilities available sufficient for basic health and emergency care. All serious illness/injuries will be medevaced to South Africa. The work schedule is a 28/28 rotational assignment. Work and living are within a company camp where all housing, transportation and meals are provided. Selected candidate will be expected to fulfill this full 4-year assignment
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Works with other Field D&C Engineers, Drill Site Managers, D&C Engineers and Drilling Superintendents as part of a rig-based drilling and completion execution team involved in Chevron's Deep Water Angola Exploration, Appraisal, Development Drilling and Completion activities.
Responsible for developing rig-based plans of action (POAs) with procedures and risk assessments to ensure sound well site engineering, lessons learned and best practices are applied during well execution.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Minimum 6 years of drilling & completion engineering & operations experience.
Experience with drill pipe and BHA design, hydraulics, casing and liner running procedures and tools, cementing practices, optimizing dual activity capability and operational procedures that include OE safe-guards along with daily report preparation.
Experience with subsea wellheads and associated running tools.
