A Global Operator that produces 3.3 million barrels of oil per day and has interests in upstream activities in more than 39 countries is recruiting numerous (daytime) Drilling Supervisors for numerous locations worldwide.
This will be a high responsibility, operational role as a leading company representative for a drilling rig or work-over unit. Thus, the role will involve management of operations associated with the well including planning and prioritising activities, resolving operational problems whilst ensuring full HSE policy compliance, controlling costs and reporting of all site activities. As a leadership figure, you will be pivotal in ensuring alignment with the company’s principles, vision, key objectives and legislative requirements as well as utilising drilling optimisation techniques including Deliver-the-Limit.
Additional challenges include working within mixed culture and multilingual teams, maintaining emergency response skills and leading emergency response situations. The role requires an independent and proactive leader who is able to communicate with authority and motivate others under difficult work conditions.
The ideal Drilling Supervisor will:
possess a higher education Diploma (HND or equivalent) or preferably a Bachelors degree or higher in engineering or science subjects
have significant experience of well engineering and drilling activities with proven experience on all rig types and expertise as a Drilling Supervisor including operation supervision and HSE awareness.
be IWCF certified
have knowledge of well analysis software
possess experience in specialist areas e.g. High Pressure/Temperature, Under-balanced, or Extended Reach drilling environments.
